I have always enjoyed and am extremely passionate about the subjects of physics, chemistry and applied mathematics both in and outside of the classroom for the last sixteen years. I have an ardent desire to communicate my understanding of how the physical universe works using the tools of applied mathematics and science to students in a basic, simplified, and hands-on approach. I bring an unparalleled paradigm of physics, mathematics, and chemistry instruction to students including simple demonstrations, animations, self-built scientific models written in the Mathematica programming language, etc. in an effort to explicate difficult concepts and scientific laws that are easily grasped by my average students. The AP Physics (B & C) scores for seven consecutive years are indicative of my success in the classroom where everyone of my students averaged above 4.5/5 on the AP’s with every one of my students receiving a passing mark each year.

For group sessions including 3 or more students, the hourly rate is $60 per student. For all Honors, College, and AP level classes including SAT, the hourly rate is $90.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Having taught Algebra II for many years at both the college and high school level with an extremely high degree of success, I believe that I bring an unparalleled paradigm of algebra instruction to any student.
I teach mathematics in such a vivid/interactive manner that the average student catches on so easily. I cover all areas of Algebra II including all functions from polynomial/rational functions up to exponential/logarithmic functions. My goal is to have each student of mine adequately equipped to succeed in the next math course at any level, which is Pre-calculus.

With an advanced degree in applied physics at the graduate level where all levels of differential equations including partial higher order differential equations are needed, I'm pleased to say that I am equipped and more than qualified to tutor any student in differential equation. This ranges from ordinary linear differential equations to solutions to the Schrodinger wave equation using spherical harmonics. These immense coursework with differential equations are reflected in both my undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Moreover, because of its ubiquitous usage in applied physics, beginning with Newton's second law to circuit theories including basic RC and RCL circuits, and up to wave theory, differential equation has been taught by me to scores of students over the last sixteen years. These students have gone on to use differential equations in various disciplines of applied physics and engineering.

I graduated from UCLA 3 years ago, but I must say I still remember Mr. D. as one of the best Physics teachers ever since Fairmont High School. I was with Mr. D. studying physics for three consecutive years back in Fairmont. I was struggling a little at the beginning, but Mr. D was able to connect physics to daily events which made it a total beauty and one of my beloved subjects. Mr. D. is very passionate about what he is teaching and is willing to commit whatever time needed to make sure the students understand the concepts well. Besides that, he bring the class a lot of joy and laugh throughout school year. Thanks to Mr. D., I got a 4 in AP Physics, which exempted me 4 units in GE from college.

Having taught in-depth Trigonometry in all of my Precalculus classes for many years at both the college and high school level with an extremely high degree of success, I believe that I bring an unparalleled paradigm of trigonometry instruction to any student. I teach Trigonometry in such a vivid/interactive manner that the average student catches on so easily. I cover all areas of Trigonometry including basic trig functions, trig graphs of all six trig functions with various transformations, all trig identities, and solutions to trigonometric equations. In addition, I cover analytical trigonometry including polar coordinates. My goal is to adequately equip each student of mine with every trigonometric tool he/she would need in order to succeed in any university-level advanced math course where trig is needed.
