I have a BS in Accounting from USC and am a former CPA and Division Controller. When I started a family, I no longer wanted a full-time career and began teaching Accounting at Orange Coast College (OCC) in Costa Mesa. I have excellent communication skills and can clearly explain concepts. My students at OCC performed extremely well on standardized tests.
I have used Excel and QuickBooks extensively in my profession. I can get students proficient in these subjects in an efficient and effective way. I am also a QuickBooks Online certified ProAdvisor.
My son used a calculus tutor and it made all the difference in the world. I was so thankful for that tutor and felt it was money well spent. I would now like to help students to achieve their educational goals.
After meeting in person, I am available for "quick questions" at no charge.

Tina is the most professional tutor I ever met. Besides of her accounting skills, she is also a great communicator. I learned a lot from her. Highly recommend her lessons!
I had a lot of questions. When I was finished with the lesson. I had no more questions. That sums it up. Very pleasant experience. I would highly recommend her!! Thanks Tina!
She has been my Financial Accounting tutor and I would be completely lost without her. Very knowledgeable and she makes sure I understand no matter how long it takes. I'm so happy I found her.
she really knows accounting, great instructor... i am just a beginner at accounting but she spends the time to make sure you understand
Truly a superb educator in the field of accounting. Very understanding and patient which is key when dealing with anyone. I am truly considering hiring her to be my personal accountant. She truly has a wealth of knowledge and years of experience all the while be humble about it. I strongly encourage you nominate her as your educator or accountant. B-)
Tina is awesome! I now understand accounting and have confidence that I can use my skills in the job market.
I'm not sure she knows how great she really is.... I felt totally at ease with the whole Quickbook stuff after she left us, I must admit I had major anxiety... feeling much more comfortable now, even though I've a lot to sift through... Thanks Tina, you were brilliant
Tina is terrific. I look forward to working with her more. She is very knowledgeable, patient, and very flexible. I was not that organized going into the session and she made it easy to move from one topic to the next while being understandable the entire time. I highly recommend Tina. Her previous work experience was very helpful in getting my business organized in a way that makes sense for me. Thanks Tina!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have used QuickBooks in a professional setting for over 5 years for multiple entities. I have never tutored/taught how to use the software, but I am confident I can explain it. I have taught Accounting at Orange Coast College, so between teaching experience and being a QuickBooks user, I feel qualified to tutor on the subject.
