I have been teaching High School math for over twenty years. I retired from full-time teaching last year, and currently work as a tutor within the San Diego North County area. I have a math degree from U.C.S.D. and a masters degree in educational technology. I have taught all levels- form basic math to AP Statistics and Calculus. I tutor at public libraries as well as student's homes.
Having taught the full high school curriculum, I focus not only on the student's current subject area, but also the skills that will be required of them in the next course and into college. I also have led workshops on using a graphing calculator, and on SAT preparation.

As I am tutoring, I track the strengths and weaknesses of the student, so I can suggest ways in which the student can help themselves in future work.
I have a very flexible schedule, and can almost always find convenient hours to meet for both the student and myself. I have been teaching High School math for over twenty years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
