In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I started learning French at the age of 12, and I graduated in Grammar and French Civilization after 9 years of studies. I grew up surrounded by French friends and professors since I have a passion for the language and the history, especially for Montesquieu, the greatest French philosopher and writer, in my opinion, since I graduated in Law.
Teaching, reading and writing in French is one of my greatest pleasures in life, and all my students benefit from this passion and positive environment while in class with me because learning French turns to become a joy rather than just a necessity.
Vive la France!
As a languages teacher (Portuguese, English, French, Italian and Spanish) there's no way I would not love grammar, because whenever we understand and apply the grammar rules regardless the language or idiom, we reach accuracy and, therefore, fluency.
That's what I pass on to my students so that they will be confident by solving their doubts, hence they will also be willing to learn more and more once everything becomes more clear and easy with each class.
Loving my mother tongue caused me to love other languages, too. Reading and writing in Portuguese made me seek for other poems and other songs in other languages and idioms. As I love people from all races, beliefs and backgrounds, I wish I could communicate with them all in my native language as well.
I have over 15 years experience teaching Portuguese to foreigners and I simply love what I do.
I am an eager reader and I am a writer.
I enjoy texts marked by intellectual depth or insight, and I love to discuss them with my students.
Once a wise man said: "Thinking is free," which means we are not charged whenever we give a thought of something.
That's what I do in class: make my students think, interpret and explain the meaning of what we are reading in order to be precise towards the context.
