I believe that real success comes from intrinsic understanding and internal motivation. But, oftentimes these fundamentals to success are not nurtured in the school system. Within time, students lose their motivation, causing them to think they are not good enough, or smart enough, which can cause gaps in learning, and a lack of confidence. Through a holistic approach, I can identify areas for improvement, take action, and bring the joy of learning and academic success back into your child's life. I can also provide enrichment opportunities, improve study habits, and help the student acquire organizational and interpersonal skills.
I have exceptional experience in academic instruction and care. For the past three years, I have taught language arts, full time, at a private school. As the head teacher, I brought the joy of reading and writing to the classroom, while also molding the students into confident, organized, accountable, and considerate young adults. In addition, during after school hours, I provided tutoring services and after school care.
I also have several years of multiple subject experience in public and private institutions, and tutoring facilities, where I worked with students of every caliber to help them set and achieve both their academic and personal goals.
Most recently, I have moved out of the classroom and into the publishing house to work as a professional editor, writer, and collaborator for a published author.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
