I needed a crash course in a file system to handle existing and incoming photos; editing photos requiring use of numerous tools; and discussions on downloading photos based on varied criteria. All of the above issues were handled by Andrea with an excellent understanding of Photoshop and ability to communicate these issues to me so I understand how to perform these tasks.
Andrea helped me create patterns and designs in Adobe Illustrator. I had never used the program before and she explained easy ways for me to do exactly what I was looking for! I will definitely use her again in the future!
Andrea was really wonderful and I would highly recommend her to anyone. I think what I was asking her to cover in a two hour period was probably a little ridiculous, but she was extremely patient and effective, pointing out exactly what tools I needed for what I wanted to accomplish, explaining things in a way that was easy for me to grasp, and was warm and friendly to boot. We were able to cover a ton of material in our two hour lesson, much more than I was hoping to. She made me more excited/motivated than I already was to learn Photoshop and I definitely plan to hire her again in the future.
With her answer to my first quetion, Andrea saved me many, many hours. And with every subsequent answer, she nailed down a solution to problems I've had for weeks! She is an outstanding instructor with extraordinary command of the tool (in my case, Adobe Illustrator). I recommend her highly!
My tutoring was for Adobe illustrator. It was much better than I imagined. Andrea was ready for my needs and questions. Super patient. The 2nd class, she had a review with everything we reviewed on the 1st session (it's a good reference for me to go to when I forget something, a little guide). I'm very, very pleased with her tutoring.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
