I am a pre-med graduate student at Loyola Marymount University who loves ALL subjects and has a general passion for learning. I spent two semesters as a science tutor helping dozens of students, and 15 months as a teacher for religious education, teaching teachers how to teach. There is nothing more rewarding to me than that moment when I see the light bulb go on in the minds of those I teach. I find that I have a natural talent for putting myself in the shoes of others to see things from their perspective. This has been a priceless skill for me as I strive to help my students gain a deep understanding of their subject of study. I strive to not only prepare students to ace tests and get good grades, but to develop study habits and a love-of-learning attitude that will help them throughout life.
With a BA in Middle East Studies/Arabic, a Minor in Physics, and experience as a pre-med student, it's easy to see that I am not afraid of any subject. I specialize in Arabic, Middle Eastern History and Politics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and any level of math from Pre-algebra to Calculus. I will help you prepare for all sections of the SAT, ACT, and GRE. I have written many "A" essays and have experience doing several in-depth individual and group research projects.

Very pleased with my daughter's session, My daughter walked away from her lesson with a better understanding of the chapters she is working on for AP world history.
He was teaching very professionally and I was struggling in geometry but he was very patient with me. I'm already planning to do the next lesson.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
