Hi guys, my name is Connor! I am currently a college freshman at UCSB, and I am here to offer my tutoring services in AP statistics, as well as any K-8 math. I only do virtual lessons, but my hours are flexible. I have two years of experience teaching AP statistics and other lower math subjects, and I have several references, including my stats teacher. For stats, I got an A+ both semesters, and a 5 on the AP test. I was a valedictorian at m high school with a 4.3 GPA, and a 34 ACT. I took several AP math classes all the way up to Calculus BC, the highest high school math class. I took several AP English courses, and I am great at teaching kids.
I am patient and will teach you "how to fish" rather than give it to you outright. I start my lesson plan by going through all of the concepts and walking students through practice problems. At the end of the information review, I let them do specific problems out of my lesson plan that we can analyze, and I choose problems that encompass the entire lesson plan. After the lesson, I assign them problems to do on their own time out of a textbook with answer keys. I go above and beyond to make sure you understand the concept on a deeper level, even if that means staying on longer. Typically I have tutored one-on-one with clients, but I also have experience tutoring in groups of 4 people or more. I am an expert at Zoom tutoring and have been doing so since the start of the pandemic. Parents are free to ask me any questions regarding resources or about their child's performance, or any other concerns. Now more than ever, education and teaching is a must in our developing world.
