I have a MS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Secondary Education with emphasis on teaching mathematics and science. I am a certified teacher from state of California and have been a professor in two universities.
I have served for 30 years in the army as an officer in the branch dealing with electronics and communication engineering. After retirement from the army, I joined as a professor in electronics and communication engineering in a university. After teaching for 10 years in two universities, I took retirement. Thereafter, I have taught mathematics and physics in a high school for ten years. I still teach electrical engineering, mathematics and physics to help out young students. I am especially good in helping students to prepare for SAT and ACT examinations.
My aim is always to make the subject interesting and easy to understand, so that the students become independent of the tutor as early as possible. I have a MS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Secondary Education with emphasis on teaching mathematics and science. I am a certified
The hourly rate for middle school students is $40. The hourly rate for students of electrical engineering for under graduates is $60 and for diploma/certificate is $40.
Mr. Pran is an excellent tutor. He has tutored me on electrical engineering circuits, math and physics. His knowledge of the subjects is outstanding. He has lots of patience and his explanation of the subject matter is very good. He is motivated me to perform much better.
Mr. Pran tutors my son on Algebra 3 and Physics, his explained and the step by step approach is one of the best my son has had. This is truly for the person who wants to teach. Thank you Mr. Pran for all your help.
How do you thank someone who has so generously shared his knowledge with such incredible patience and respect?
My son is extremely bright and has a severe language processing disorder. He is majoring in Computer Engineering. His college subjects are often beyond most tutors' abilities and many are not patient to look for and work with his strengths.
My son has gained confidence with Pran's patient and down to earth tutoring. He received an "A" in his last test in microelectronics. Pran is serious about his responsibilities as a tutor, as was evidenced by his preparation for the sessions.
He shares not only his knowledge but also with his heart.
Pran is an excellent tutor. He is helping my daughter with both math and physics. He is very patient and has a way of explaining difficult concepts very clearly. My daughter appreciates that he understands where she is struggling and he has created a plan to get her back on track. We are so grateful to have Pran's assistance. My daughter's level of stress has diminished!
Pran shows a lot of knowledge in the subjects he teaches due to much prior experience in past and current occupations. He is also very passionate about them. He always feels the need to teach more until the student has a firm grasp on the topic/subject. Also, he has many useful techniques in solving math and physics problems efficiently.
Pran is very patient and goes the pace that I need. He makes sure that my questions are clarified and I understand everything. He has very good knowledge of the subject and is an excellent tutor.
Mr. Pran is a very patient and considerate tutor. His style of teaching makes a student loves math and problem solving. It is apparent that he did a lot of preparation prior to the lesson. He provides additional suggestions and strategies for home practice.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
At the university level, I have taught for 20 years many subjects in electrical engineering. I am particularly good at dc and ac circuits, microelectronics, analog integrated circuits, digital design, digital integrated circuits, communication engineering (analog and digital communications), electromagnetic waves.
I have coached students for the SAT successfully.
