I am a former high school teacher who used to teach Japanese. After retiring from teaching, I began to tutor students one-on-one in Japanese. I have more than 10 years experience in tutoring. What I love about tutoring is that the students who want tutoring really want to learn and I get to know my students better.

The Japanese language is a difficult foreign language. It is far different from English. I was born and raised in America, but have been studying (and still studying) the language since I was 5 years old. I am confident in my teaching skills because I know how to reach the student. I also want to make learning very fun and want the students to enjoy the lesson. I am fully fluent in writing, reading and conversational Japanese.

I have a degree in Japanese from UCLA. I encourage anybody who is willing to learn Japanese to contact me. I am patient, and the one thing that I strive for is to ensure the student gets a good lesson and truly understands the subject matter.
