If you’re looking to build skills in any area of reading, writing, or public speaking, I’d love to help you on your journey! I’m a dedicated and passionate educator with over a decade of experience teaching and tutoring. I’m opening up shop on Wyzant because I love the idea of helping anyone anywhere achieve their learning goals.

Need to write a college application essay that shines? I’ve got you covered. Can’t make any sense of Shakespeare? I’ve got you covered. Knees shake at the debate podium? I’ve got you covered. Poetry feels like a foreign language? I’ve got you covered.

I earned Tutoring Certification through Syracuse University, helping international student-athletes expand their academic potential. I graduated with a 4.0, a Master of Science Degree in English Education, and an unshakable belief in every student’s potential for growth.

I went on to become a certified high school English teacher, specializing in college application essays, inclusive education, creative writing, and AP English Literature and Composition. I’ve helped hundreds of students nail the college application essay, find joy in reading, craft academic essays, understand poetry, ace the AP Exam, write job-winning resumes, succeed in interviews, and win oral debates.

These days, I’m a full-time professional advocate and public speaker. I have been interviewed on television and radio, led rallies, run statewide meetings, and successfully lobbied representatives. I am responsible for proofreading every piece of writing the organization produces. I’m also still an educator: I teach citizens how to lobby their elected officials, craft compelling messaging, and make complex ideas simple and clear.

My teaching is infused with the belief that learning should be fun, literacy can unlock doors, writing is a powerful tool that anyone can master, and everyone should have the opportunity to learn how to use their voice to stand up for what they believe in.
