I successfully passed the CBEST on my first attempt with only a small pamphlet to study from. Since being a tutor on Wyzant, I have helped several students study for the CBEST and CSET exams (please see my reviews!). I am also highly qualified in most of the general elementary teaching modalities on the Wyzant site. I also can thoroughly assist a prospective CBEST and CSET student pass these ever important exams by emailing and then reviewing pertinent selected topics. I use the most updated study guides available, including the CBEST Test Preparation guide of 2018/2019 by Cirrus and the 2019 CSET study guide by Barron's.

Laura, thank you for the kind feedback. It's been a pleasure working with your son Dillon, who is in fourth grade. I really enjoy watching his responses when I ask him some challenging questions about Language Arts and Math. Teaching has not ever been so rewarding for me as it has been working with a young and malleable mind like Dillon's. Thank you once again for allowing me the opportunity to work with your family. Responsive, Patient and Helpful Tutor

When I first contacted Jim, he responded very quickly and wanted to speak to me in order to figure out how he could help me. I told him that I was studying for Subtest 3 of the Multiple Subject CSET Exam. Although, he had no experience tutoring in this area, he did have resources that are helpful. He provided me with a practice test and reviewed it during our first tutoring session. This was helpful to me because he explained the reasoning behind the correct answers. After our first session, he was able to send me more files so that I can review them before our next tutoring session.

Elizabeth, 4 lessons with Jim
Tutor responded:

Dear Elizabeth, thank you so much for your kind review! I enjoyed our tutoring sessions together and the opportunity to tutor in a new area, the CSET section III. It wasn't a problem to research and email you the extensive study material you needed to help you understand the sections that you were studying. Sincerely, Jim.
