I have ample experience in the following physical sciences: Anatomy, Biology (Microbiology and Genetics), Geology (Oceanography), Human Nutrition, Physiology, and Sports Medicine.

I can help in the following major tests: ACT (English: reading and writing); ESL/ESOL; SAT (English and Latin: reading and writing); TOEFL; ASVAB.

Since I am also very active and have gained much experience, I can also train people in the following martial arts, fitness activities, and holistic practices: Aikido (beginner, intermediate, and advanced); Tai Chi (beginner and intermediate); Yoga (basic and intermediate); Meditation (beginner, intermediate, and advanced).

As a level one College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) certified tutor from Cal Poly Pomona, I value knowledge, truth, and wisdom. I set my expectations high and am highly disciplined. I, in particular, value sagacious exchanges and sharing knowledge with my tutees.

I have a 24 hour cancellation policy and do offer make-up sessions. I am extremely flexible with my schedule. I am willing to travel to meet the student in the best place possible for their convenience and comfort. I can also do sessions via Skype or by cell phone in case of distance becomes a problem.

Please feel free to contact me and look forward to meeting you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1

I specialize in helping high school students with Algebra I, Algebra II, Statistics, and Geometry. Likewise, I also helped several college students with the disciplines mentioned. I also took these classes in both high school and college.

Anthropology

I am qualified to tutor in this respective subject area because I am majoring in Anthropology. I have studied Anthropology for the last three years. I have taken all lower division courses offered, and am completing upper division courses as well. I have done two independent research projects for Anthropology in regards to contemporary cultural phenomena.

Archaeology

I am qualified to tutor in this respective subject because Archaeology is my primary career within the grander discipline of Anthropology. I have taken two archaeology courses during my undergraduate career. I had the opportunity to take part in a four week excavation in Milford, Utah with the Milford Archaeological Research Institute (MARI). Upon my return from this trip, I received my Archaeological Fieldwork Certificate from Pasadena City College.

English

When I was in high school, I took an Advanced Placement course in English, and received an "A" or "10/10". I am a student at Cal Poly Pomona majoring in Anthropology with emphasis in Cultural Resource Management. The field requires students to have excellent writing and grammar in both quantitative and qualitative research. As an Anthropology major studying languages, I investigate the connections and descent of numerous modern languages from their ancient ancestors. I also keep in close contact with a distinguished author who gives me pointers and advice on my writing and stories.

Latin

I am qualified to help you with Latin because I studied the language rigorously. I took the language while at Pasadena City College. I even write my dream and day journal entries in Latin. I once helped a Sardinian activist with translating a letter to a priest in the Vatican to gain support for his cause. I shall be studying Classical Archaeology at the University of Florence next year in Florence, Italy. Classical Archaeology is the study of the civilizations that emerged in the Mediterranean Sea to which the Romans are a part of.

Martial Arts

I am qualified to train people in the following martial arts or martial arts related practices: Aikido, Tai Chi, and Meditation.
I am qualified to train people in Aikido because I am a 2nd degree black belt or "Nidan". I have been practicing Aikido for the past 3 years and trained with the greatest instructors in the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. I also part-take in international seminars held in the Los Angeles, San Diego, and Mexico City areas each month. When I have time to spare, I assist as assistant instructors at local dojos. I can train in the following levels: beginning, intermediate, and advanced.
I am qualified to train people in Tai Chi because I once trained with a Sun-style of Sun Lu-t'ang Tai Chi master for 4 years in my hometown. I passed my masters or Sifu exam 2 years ago. I can train in the following levels: beginning and intermediate.
I am qualified to instruct people in meditation because I have been practicing it for the past 5 years. I also started with self-practice before I joined local classes. I also practiced with mainy experts and researchers in meditation at classes, seminars, and retreats. Likewise, have also read several books that shed more insight into the practice and phenomena. I mainly focus on Vipassana, Mindfulness, Peruvian Amazonian Shamanic, and Zen style meditation. I can instruct in the following levels: beginning, intermediate, and advanced.

Spanish

I am a native speaker of the language. I once lived in Mexico City for 6 years. Also, I am fluent in Latin, the Mother of Romance languages including Spanish.

World History

I am qualified to assist you with World History because I am an archaeology major at Cal Poly Pomona. I study ancient and modern cultures and their interconnections with the rest of the world.
