Grand Canyon University (c/o 2013) (Enrolled)
I am a junior at NYU in the process of transferring to USC. I am majoring in psychology and creative writing and have a passion for both as well as the intersection between the two. I am creative, outgoing, dedicated, energetic and caring. I graduated from Marlborough High School with a 3.75 GPA in 2009 and received a 2080 on my SATs along with scores ranging from 650-750 on the SAT subject tests and consistent 4's on all AP tests. I worked as a camp counselor teaching art, yoga and math for 3 summers. I am the eldest of four; I have a seventeen and a five year-old sister and a four-year-old brother so I am kind, gentle, and loving with kids. I have an innate talent for organizing and am great with helping kids to plan out assignmnts and learn to manage their time better so that they don't get overwhelmed. In addition to a wide range of academic subjects I can also tutor in middle, high school and college prep., such as learning how to write a resume, how to write college essays, and how to make study plans. I am great at teaching skills that will help you to function higher and achieve your goals no matter what they are.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
