I am a research scientist and received my PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in genetics, evolution, and development, from UC Berkeley. In undergrad, I earned my BS in Biochemistry from CSUF, Summa Cum Laude.

My teaching philosophy is founded on using student-centered evidence-based, scientific teaching practices. I am a strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion and believe in making STEM more accessible for all. I have empowered hundreds of students to develop themselves as scientists and improve their homework and exam grades. I will work with you to build confidence in the material you are learning and to develop better study habits so you can be more productive and increase your performance.

I have 10+ years of experience volunteering in local elementary, middle, and high schools science classes. I have 4+ years of experience teaching college-level courses in genetics and cell biology at UC Berkeley and 5+ years of experience mentoring undergraduates in study skills, time management, and grad school applications.
