Hi, I'm Raaghav and I am currently a junior at the University of California, Berkeley obtaining degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. My college experience has been shaped by the classes that I have taken, not only in terms of helping me receive a better education but also in terms of providing guidance about choosing a career path. I have spent a lot of time figuring out the best way that an individual can learn and thrive, only to find that what works best for me will not work best for someone else. Therefore, I try to bring a custom experience for each student that I tutor, making sure that my teaching style addresses their needs and abilities thereby creating an environment for my student to thrive. I will be using lesson plans to make sure that my student has a clear vision of the big picture before diving in and learning the content. I will do everything that I can to make sure that the learning experience is a pleasant one for my student.

I have tutored numerous friends, acquaintances and family members in the field of mathematics. After receiving a 35 on the ACT Math section and learning the tips and tricks that helped me succeed, I have been able to pass this knowledge on to individuals who have gone to develop a firm grasp of ACT Math and Algebra 1. I devised a lesson plan for my students and went step-by-step in teaching them the content using my personal resources while allowing sufficient time for after-lesson practice problems.

Studying CS in college has given me a strong command over HTML and CSS. I am currently using these two languages to develop a refined personal portfolio and website. Additionally, I have taught these languages. essential for web development, to 5 other students. I believe that teaching programming involves a lot more than just teaching the syntax of a particular language, and I try to make the experience one that is not only full of learning but also extremely engaging. I am currently also helping teach a 'Discrete Math & Probability Theory for Computer Scientists' course at Berkeley.

I have been learning the piano since I was 7 years old. I have mentored students with special needs before, helping them showcase their love for music. My passion and skills, along with the ability to mirror techniques used by my teacher have given me a good sense of being able to teach piano.

My ultimate goal is to help my students achieve their goals - prepare for a test, grow academically, learn new skills, etc. As a rule, I am extremely open to and encouraging of feedback from parents, other educators, and my students. I am extremely easy to reach and talk to since I, too, am a student!
