University of California, Berkeley (Master's)
I am currently a student at UC Berkeley, studying Public Health Nutrition and dietetics. At Princeton, I majored in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and received certificates (i.e., minors) in Environmental Studies, Sustainable Energy, and Italian. I have extensive experience with tutoring, beginning with Italian in high school, and then statistics, Italian, and chemistry to fellow students in college. I took courses in many different areas of science throughout college, all at or above the AP or introductory level.
I am also very interested in tutoring SAT material, given my strong performance on the test. I took subject tests in Biology, Chemistry, Math II, and Italian, and can also tutor for those tests.
I have strong background in foreign languages, ranging from 8 years of studying Italian, three of Spanish, two of Latin, and a summer spent teaching myself introductory Swahili. I won a national essay contest in Italian in high school, as well as state Latin competitions, and earned top scores in national Latin and Italian exams. I am very interested in linguistics, and participated in multiple rounds of an international linguistics competition in high school.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a recent graduate of Princeton University, I am fully aware of the difficult process and all the components and effort involved in a successful college application, interview, and matriculation. I have tutored high school students in several different subjects, and am well qualified to help with coursework as well. While a student at Princeton, I volunteered to be a representative at my high school, and presented to students in the guidance office about the process of applying to Princeton, and answered all their questions. And as a leader of freshman orientation camping trips at Princeton, I have a lot of experience and training in working with and mentoring younger students.
