Experienced math tutor

Aaron M.
I began tutoring roughly in 2008. Math and a little chemistry though math is my stronger subject by far. I've had clients most of the time since then and each student has their own personality and their own challenges. There's nothing wrong with that. It makes life more interesting and let's face it, if we all excelled in math, there would be no need for me.

To me, math is a language. Like all languages, of which I'm interested in several, you need to learn what things mean and translate...

TOEFL

Algebra 1,
#### Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is one of the subjects I draw on most heavily. I am quite comfortable in it because I am always using it in teaching. Even though I took it my freshman year of high school nearly 20 years ago, I'm just as comfortable with it now as back then.

Algebra 2,
#### Algebra 2

Algebra 2 was the first math that I tutored. While I don't use it nearly as much as Algebra 1, I still do quite often and because I am also good at reading math and translating it into "normal English", if I take a look, whatever I may have forgotten comes right back to me.

Geometry,
#### Geometry

Geometry is the class I first did a lesson in years ago. I taught the class when the teacher was away. That speaks for itself.

Prealgebra,
#### Prealgebra

Pre-algebra is the stepping stone for algebra which I am already quite comfortable in. I took pre-algebra in 8th grade and it is really just building better arithmetic and some introductory algebraic concepts. As I often can do these in my head, you need not worry about my proficiency in this subject.

Precalculus,
#### Precalculus

Given that this subject builds on and includes concepts from other previous algebra and geometry classes, it seems scarier than it actually is due to the name. Let me help guide you to a better understanding of this math.

SAT Math
#### SAT Math

SAT math boils down to algebra and geometry, both of which I have tutored before. If you can understand algebra, you can also figure out much of geometry and vice versa. Algebra is written geometry and geometry is algebra in picture form, so they tell me. Considering my high scores on both math and standardized tests in general, SAT math is really no problem for me.

TOEFL

ACT Math,
#### ACT Math

Because I had to take the ACT to enter college, I'm familiar with the concepts in it. I believe I can be of use to you both for the math and for the testing itself.

## Great experience

My son not only enjoyed his tutoring but got good insight to be a better student. Will reschedule. Thank you.

Amin , 2 lessons with Aaron

## Very knowledgeable

Aaron was able to explain things in a different way, compared to the book, which was very confusing. Aaron was very knowledgeable in linear algebraic equations. I would definitely use Aaron again for algebra tutoring.

## Great Tutor

Aaron was great with my son. I am definitely going to be using Aaron again, at least every week for the rest of the semester. His knowledge and ability to communicate with my son was right on.
