Throughout my experience as a tutoring and mentor, it is a worth commitment to encourage and motivate students to strive for a better understanding. Not only it is a fundamental responsibility to educate a new generation not only for a better standard of living, but to also enlighten a growing perspective.

As a first generation student, I understand the challenges to pursue a higher learning. It is a worth experience, since I strives to achieve more than what is consider a standard. I have worked as a tutor for the past 6 years at Bakersfield College. I worked within the MESA and STEM Program. Our goal was to ensure that every students would have an opportunity to success academically. I have seen my progress is growing as I see my students not only began to comprehend their learning, but to start growing their talents and showing their potential. For every student, I have learned many styles of teaching, methods to approach a concept, and illustrate constructive thinking.

As a result, I felt that I have shown commitment and progress that I will be able to dedicate and help others to purse knowledge and understanding.
