In July, 2011 I received my single subject teaching credential to teach foundational-level mathematics (algebra, geometry, etc.) and art in grades 12 and below, and adults.
A few years ago I started to work as a substitute teacher, teaching math and art. I like to make my subjects interesting and fun. My students love my teaching methods because I teach students based on their individual needs and preferred learning methods.
I would like to work with you to achieve your goals.

Elizabeth has continued to help our son greatly. His comprehension has improved considerably. He looks forward to his sessions. More importantly he looks forward to math class! He has always struggled with staying focused and organized. Elizabeth has helped him with this through teaching him to prepare for lessons and exams, which give him confidence and a the desire to stay ahead in class.
Thank you, Elizabeth!
Elizabeth has done a great job tutoring my son. She has an excellent command of the subject matter and is able to teach the concepts. She has made my son more independent and responsible regarding his homework. He now completes his homework every night with very little help from us. Elizabeth is also working on building his confidence when he is working with unfamiliar subjects. I am very pleased.
Elizabeth is a wonderful tutor who truly cares about her students success! Elizabeth is so knowledgeable in algebra and is also very patient and extremely thorough!
Elizabeth is willing to spend as much time as it takes to help my grandson understand his algebra 2 and also to prepare for an exam.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a teaching credential to teach Algebra.
I have a teaching credential to teach Algebra and got a lot of experience helping students working as a substitute teacher.
Everyone is an artist. Some people just don't know that. I always liked to draw and paint. I became a fine artist and wanted to be an art teacher. I took all the required classes to become a high school teacher. Now I work on my teaching credential.
I drew a lot of pictures using pencil, charcoal, and pastel. If you would like to learn more about drawing different subjects with different methods, shading, forms and more I would be happy to teach you. You probably created many drawings already, but an artist creativity grows with time and practice.
I was an engineer for many years. I learned a lot about computers including hardware, software and computer repair. I like to use the computer a lot because it makes our life much easier. I used Windows computers for many years for my study, for my work, and for my business and would be happy to teach you more about the general use of the computer (including internet use).
I am glad that you would like to learn more about painting. I was an artist for more than 10 years. I painted many paintings, murals using acrylic and oil paint. Later I decided to become a teacher. At the California State University Bakersfield I took all the classes that required to become a high school art teacher. Now I study for my teaching credential.
I taught water-color, acrylic and oil painting and work as a substitute teacher teaching art, mathematics, etc.
Art is interesting and fun. If you enjoy it you can create better pictures. I can teach you different methods and subjects. Also some art history if you would like to learn about some artists.
