Hi! My name is Glen M. and have been teaching adults most of my adult life. I worked in nursing management for 30+ years before retiring from the state of California. I was fortunate to be hired soon after by a local private university teaching undergraduate students management principles. Recently I began teaching business and public policy graduate students. I also have extensive experience in technical training. I have a liberal arts degree from a community college, local state university, and a graduate degree from Fresno State. Some of my pedagogic (look that one up!) philosophies include the idea that critical thinking is at the root of all successful academic and professional efforts. This is accomplished through practice in verbal and written communication. One can never practice this craft enough. Yet, any student can achieve their potential if they set their mind to do so. Another related philosophy is that through the dynamic exchange of ideas and beliefs, the tutor can and will learn from the student as much as the student can learn from the tutor. Finally, I believe humor and appreciation of one's fallability goes far in the learning process. To each of you reading this: Good luck and I hope you follow your dreams! P.S. I am available most days and hours. Other demands on my time are of my choosing. My schedule is very flexible.

Glen was very helpful in helping me understand the basics of power point and helping me to get a presentation done.
I think Glen is a great mentor and tutor. I enjoy learning with him. I learn the meaning of the words that I don't understand. He explained, described and give examples. I will work with Glen until I succeed.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
After 30+ years as a nursing supervisor/manager, I decided to expand my interests to teaching. I have an AA and BS degree in liberal arts and a Masters in Public Administration. In order to obtain a temporary credential, I obtained a CBEST study guide and after a few months of leisurely study took the test. My scores were all in the 90th percentiles. I have been teaching undergrads and graduate students for 9 years at a local university.
I completed my AS degree in sociology and my BS on social sciences. My Masters degree is in public administration. I worked in forensic nursing for 40 years and for the last nine years I have taught undergraduate and graduate students at a local, private university. I am voracious reader and a student of popular culture.
