About Brian

I have been an English teacher since 2013. I first taught as part of an outreach in Tokyo with a group I worked with for the summer. Throughout my Master's program, I have also taught students from all around the world. Since then, I have taught more students in and around Long Beach. I have recently taught Japanese students in Sapporo, Japan in July 2016.

I love tutoring because I love helping people. As a former ESL student myself, I understand just how difficult it is to learn English. I hope that by being a tutor in ESL, I can help you learn English so that you can live in America better or that you can get a job back in your home country if you choose to go back.

I am certified by the American Language Institute of CSULB to be an English language teacher since 2013! Since then, I have taught students from all over the world, from Japan to Saudi Arabia. I have recently received my Master's Degree in TESOL at CSULB as well!

If you have any questions about my style or just about me, then please feel free to message me!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
