I've been a tutor for years and for the past year and a half have been a supplemental instruction leader at Humboldt State for chemistry and biology, leading classes of anywhere from 4-20 students, 3 times a week with lesson plans all revolving around their course. I've got a ton of lesson plan ideas, experience in structure and learning techniques. Something that sets me apart from other tutors is that I put just as much energy into teaching material as I do into teaching learning/studying-skills that students can adopt for themselves for success in the future. I absolutely love tutoring because I've been that student struggling before and understand what it is like to be confused and also how it feels to finally succeed.
