My name is Roshan and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics with a concentration in Physics. I would like to tutor on Wyzant because I have a passion for giving back. Going to school, I remember I often had difficulty learning certain subjects. However, I was successful with the help of some excellent tutors. After receiving this help, I developed a passion for tutoring students who are struggling in specific subjects. When I first began tutoring, opportunities seemed slim but after graduating from college, I started to tutor more students than ever. My first major stop was serving with an AmeriCorps Program called City Year, where I tutored students in Mathematics and mentored full time. Specifically, I served in an Algebra 1A classroom of high school freshmen students with a focus list of 20 students in six different classes. In addition to the work in the classroom, I tutored higher-level mathematics students in after-school tutoring. I even had the opportunity to tutor my partner teacher in higher-level mathematics so that she could receive her teaching certification in mathematics.

Shortly after serving with City Year, I started tutoring on the Varsity Tutors platform, where I still tutor today. While it is rewarding to tutor with Varsity Tutors, I am searching for more opportunities to help people and whether I am tutoring on Varsity Tutors or Wyzant, my goal remains the same to help tutor students so that they succeed. My specialty is Mathematics but I also am happy to tutor in History, Political Science, Economics, and Physics. Whenever I have the opportunity to tutor, I always do my best to cater to the needs of the students. Whenever a student comes to me for help, I help in the best manner possible so that the student leaves me with a better understanding of the material. That way, the student is able to succeed in the classroom. Please feel free to contact me, I am ready to help and am at your service.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics and experience tutoring people
