“**Very knowledgeable tutor**”

I have my Bachelor and PhD degrees from Physics Department, Tsinghua University, which is one of the best two universities in China. I've been tutoring high school students for two years. I am happy to use my knowledge and academic experience to help you get ready to your future career. I am good at physics and mathematics at all levels, including

Alex is approved to conduct lessons through Wyzant Online. Wyzant Online allows students and tutors to work remotely via video, audio, and collaborative whiteboard tools. For more information about how online tutoring works, check out Wyzant Online.

If you’re interested in online lessons, message Alex to get started.

Alex prepared my son for his F=MA exam, and my son felt like finally he got a clear understanding of the concepts. Alex transformed the problem into more simple terms and steps, he is an amazing teacher and I would recommend him to anyone, Thank you so much your help!

I highly recommend Alex as a tutor, as he has been a great help to my child. His broad range of science and math knowledge meant he could help my children with multiple subjects( math and physics ). I initially had some reservations because his credentials seemed to indicate he was far too overqualified to be a tutor, but I have observed clear, positive results in my child

It is not easy to find a tutor like Alex who is capable to deal with competition Physics problems. My son really enjoyed meeting and working with him. He explained the hard physics problems thoroughly and makes sure that the student understands the difficult concepts. I highly recommend Alex as a tutor of any level of Physics teaching.

Alex is very knowledgeable in his area of physics and corresponding math subjects. I highly recommended him for future students!

Math:

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Algebra 1 covers basic but important content of Math. That is part of my academic training. I am good at equation, positive/negative number, fraction operation, linear function, and so on. I can supply plenty of exercises at different levels to students so that they can be ready to their homework, final exam, honor classes and further AP classes.

Algebra 2 contains challenging subjects such as exponential/logarithmic function, trigonometry, conic function etc. In order to comprehensively understand these topics, I would like to emphasize visualization and typical problems which require combination of different key points. Based on my tutoring experiences, if a student has solid visualization of different types of function, he or she has better chance to get high score.

I am now a researcher working in research group of university. My expertise is simulate atomic movement by computers. So I am programming almost every day to realize sophisticated models. Therefore, I am very experiences on computer programming. In addition, I can introduce simple, but interesting scientific projects to my future students.

I am simulating surface catalysis by using Fortran almost every day to realize sophisticated models. Therefore, I am very experiences on Fortran, from basic operation to complicated algorithms. In addition, I can introduce simple, but interesting scientific projects to my future students.

Geometry closely relates to my research topic, including surface orientation, crystal structures, etc. Therefore, I am familiar to all topics in Geometry, both 2D and 3D. I have been studying geometry for more than 10 years so that those principles and concepts are literally engraved in my heart. Furthermore, I can supply students a different view from calculus, such as volume of pyramids and sphere, and quadratic curves, etc.

Since my major is physics, I have spent lots of time on learning all sub-field in general physics, mechanics, E&M, thermodynamics, optics, atomic physics, and relativity, etc. I can teach physics courses at all levels, including ACT science, SAT subject Physics, AP physics, and physics competition. As a physicist, I am good at mathematics. So I can also teach ACT math, SAT I and II math, AP Calculus.

I have PhD degree on Physics. I am very good at both physics and Math. I have studied the SAT Math section for roughly a year and am familiar to the range and type of possible questions in Exam. I can supply enough practice to students so that they will be ready for it. I also use computer visualization to explain important topics, such as linear function, geometry and equality.

Trigonometry is a very important branch of math and science. It tightly relates to complex, physics, calculus, geometry etc. Thus, students who want study natural sciences must do good job on trigonometry. I have prepared plenty of exercises on trigonometry for students to sharpen their skills and understandings on this topic. Graphing is also a useful tool to help students study trigonometry.
