Hi Students,

I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from UC Davis and I earned my MBA in Finance at CSU Hayward (East Bay). While I was at UC Davis, I placed 2nd in the Undergraduate Mathematics Exam and represented UC Davis in both the Putnam International Mathematics Competition and in the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM) Western Regional programming competition.

While I love working as a consultant (more on that in a subsequent paragraph), I also really enjoy math and have competed in mathematics competitions from grade school through college (some are listed above). I have also home-schooled our two children for grades K – 8 and helped them with homework in all subjects at every level. The older one graduated from UC Berkeley and is now teaching high school math and the other is sophomore at UC Davis in Mechanical Engineering.

I work with students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Chemistry, Physics, and programming in Matlab, Java, Visual Basic, C++ and Scheme. I took many math classes in college before deciding I didn't want to be a math major. Other subjects I have worked with students in include Statistics, Research Methods, Managerial Accounting, Accounting 1 and 2, and Micro and Macro Economics, Network Security, and graduate level Marketing courses.

I have worked with many students on TEAS, ASVAB, ACT, PSAT, SAT, CBEST, and CSET Mathematics subtests I, II, and III. One thing to note, I like taking tests and I believe I can help you get an upper hand on many standardized tests with different tricks and techniques when you just don't know which answer is correct. This greatly improves guessing generally raises student scores, sometimes significantly.

I find math problems interesting and I am most interested in being able to help others see math in a similar light. While I strive to make math fun for all, I expect to at least make it understandable and manageable for you. Hopefully I

Great tutor

Greg has been helping me through statistics after I hit a mental burn out. He’s great at explaining things and helping me understand my book better. He’s even patient when I have to ask the same questions repeatedly. Highly recommended.

Great tutor,

Greg's really good at answering questions of how things function. I was really unprepared but Greg was really good at getting the learning on course. He's easy to talk with and improved the learning, by a lot, by answering small nuances that matter. Thanks!
