I have been taking math classes for about three years. I have taken all sorts of math classes including statistics and geometry, however as any math major I feel more confident tutoring algebra, trigonometry and some calculus. On May of the current year I graduated with an AS in mathematics from Sierra Community College in Rocklin, California. I tutored at Sierra for about one year and a half. I had a wonderful experience tutoring algebra beginners and intermediate students, but unfortunately I graduated and the fun ended. I will begin to attend Sacramento State University on August. From this institution I want to get a teaching credential in order to become a high school math teacher. I believe that any individual (with no exception) can do math if the person is willing to spend the time and explores the wonders of this beautiful subject.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
