She helped my son tremendously. She was very patient with him and helped him with all the areas he needed it most. I would definitely recommend her!
Although resistant to practicing reading with me, both of my boys took to Kim immediately. She has a great rapport with kids and they not only cooperated fully with her, but had a great time while learning. The following day, while practicing his reading, my first grader was more willing to read and even showed some slight improvement - after just one session with Kim. They really look forward to her coming and frequently ask me how many more days they have to wait for her to come. Now, that's progress!
Kim is tutoring my 8 year old daughter in reading. In just a couple of sessions my husband and I already see a difference in my daughter's reading. She is building my daughters confidence which is something that was lacking and she looks forward to seeing Kim each week. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who has a child struggling with the reading comprehension.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
