I worked with student athletes at Brigham Young University, tutoring them in various subjects. I have also taught ESL classes at EF International Language Schools. I enjoy finding explanations and methods that allow individual students to develop their own understanding of subjects. I feel like when you find a way to help others make sense of a topic they don't understand, it gives them added confidence and a desire to continue learning more.
I developed my Spanish speaking abilities by first establishing an academic background and then living in a Spanish speaking country for 2 years. I have over 12 years of industry experience with computers and applications. I have experienced first hand how IT skills can transform peoples lives. I have coached soccer for more than 7 years at the youth level and I currently train over 50 children between the ages of 3 and 12 years old on a weekly basis. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been designing web pages for 20 years and I love it. There is nothing more satisfying than getting your message or business on the web. HTML is a great place to start a web design education and I thoroughly enjoy helping others learn all about it.

I studied Spanish in High School 2 years. After High School and before College, I lived in a Spanish speaking country for 2 years and spoke Spanish daily. I returned from my time living in the Spanish speaking country and completed 6 additional college level courses in Spanish.
