I believe everyone is capable of achieving any goal they want or need. Some may take more hours of studying while others seem to absorb and understand instantly any topics. However, with dedication, work, patience and good organization skills, everyone can obtain the same results: Success, good grades, better concentration and even pleasure of studying.
I think my tutoring style is directly linked to my personal experiences from elementary schools until my Bachelor at UCLA. I started my student career as a rather poor and undisciplined student to finally become Valedictorian of my UCLA class in 1998. I then pursued with a Master of Fine Arts which I completed in record times for this tedious Animation master.
Otherwise, I am a mother of 3 year old twins, I was born and raised in Paris, France and came to the US at 18 years old. I lived in New york city and Los Angeles. I also spent 3 years in Guatemala. ( I also speak Spanish... not enough to be a Spanish tutor but enough for communicating with Spanish speaking families and students, if needed).
I am outgoing, social, and I love to travel. My passion is Sailing. I have crossed the Atlantic 3 times so far, and I also love the circus. Yes! the circus: Juggling, Trapeze etc...

Ariane spent 1 and 1/2 hours preparing my family for our trip to Paris in June. She was thoroughly engaging and especially helpful with native colloquialisms. She reviewed basics with my 9 and 12 year olds and gave me a boost of confidence with her feedback and immersive French conversations. She was quite effective with my girls who were apprehensive about speaking French. They completely enjoyed the session and are looking forward to more French lessons with Ariane. Our trip to Paris and our interactions with the Parisians were wonderful. We were able to communicate with ease and confidence. I believe that much of that has to do with the preparations that Ariane gave us prior to the trip. Thank you Ariane!
Ariane is a great tutor. She is very friendly and patient. She makes learning French fun and enjoyable. I would not hesitate to recommend her as a tutor.
Have a wonderful trip in Paris. I hope our lessons and my tips will be useful during your stay in Paris. I stay at your disposition for future lessons if you wish to continue after your trip. Bon Voyage!
Ariane is a very engaging person who put me at my ease immediately. We have conversed in French on a variety of topics, which has helped expand my vocabulary and make me feel more confident in speaking. She helps me with grammar and vocabulary as needed, always nicely. She speaks French beautifully.
I hired Ariane to help me brush up on my French skills before spending a week in Paris this summer. Ariane is a native French speaker who speaks thoughtfully and carefully. She is interesting and intelligent, which made the session even more agreeable!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am a french citizen married to a Californian man, who also speaks French fluently. I moved to the USA in 1995 to start my studies. I lived in NYC for 3 years and then moved to LA, more precisely UCLA, where I obtained my bachelors in Film (Valedictorian) and an MFA in Animation. I also lived in Guatemala for 3 years and I just love to discover and learn new cultures! I have a more liberal approach to the French language, which is loaded with grammar rules and irregulars. If grammar makes you screech, I will be the perfect tutor for you. Now, If you cannot live without your grammar rule, then I will be honest and tell you to find a more conventional French tutor!
I went from being a lousy student in junior high school to becoming Valedictorian for my BA at UCLA. When I finally realized how easy studying could be, my grade just kept getting better and better. Organization, lists, breaking down homework and lessons into friendly information and positive reinforcement are the key to an efficient and happier student.
I worked as a film (16mm) editor when that still existed and believe me, without organization editing a feature film would have been impossible. I also produce many TV projects with remote TV Trucks and crews of 20. Organization, lists and keeping the focus on what's most important is essential for the success of the project and the crews' happiness!
