Welcome to my profile!!!
I am so glad that you are considering my services, and I sincerely hope that after carefully reading my profile, you will find me a compatible partner to work towards your educational goals. I strongly believe that you have the potential to earn the grades you want, and if you so chose, make a living using mathematical tools to understand and interact with the physical world. Engineers, scientists, economists, and businessmen from all over the world speak the same language---the language that imparts the ability to understand, predict, and control---the language of mathematics.

Why do I tutor?
From a young age I was always actively participating in class discussions. I loved to ask questions in class---and I had one teacher who actually limited me to one question a day because I would ask so many darn questions! Believe it or not, up until I had one great third grade teacher (Ms. Sangalli) I could not even write all my letters forwards. Even at that tender age, I understood how Ms. Sangalli helped change my life---within two year of her class I was reading at a college level as a fifth grader. By observing the role education has played in my life, I have strived to share my insights and enthusiasm with others through tutoring and mentoring---because I know that the right teacher can change peoples lives.

What Are My Guaranteed Deliverables?
It is important that we are crystal clear on the deliverables I will be compensated for.

1) Minimum of 1 Weekly Lesson ---I prepare for all of my lessons in advance. If there is a question I cannot answer I will look into it after the lesson, free of charge.
Lesson Agenda:
Warm Up
Lecture/New Topics

2) 1 Lesson Summary
-Reflecting is arguably the most important aspect of retention. I will carefully write a summary that will include topics such
as highlights of the most important aspects of the lesson, real world connections, and more.

3) 1 set of exercises for each lesson: I will customize an exercise set based on what we covered in the recent lesson.

4) Incorporation of the latest technology:----I use the latest technology from tablets, to computers and more to enhance and streamline your learning experience.

5)*** Access to the skill matrix---this is a tool I have been developing independently. At no extra cost you are welcome to utilize it and I prepare to discuss more details in person.

Expectations and Accountability:

1) Expectations and Goal Agreement:
After working on many challenging group projects I have learned that two of the most important success building tools are goal setting and accountability. Hence I require all of tutees to sit down with me and outline some objectives and standards to hold ourselves accountable to.

2) Weekly Exercises:
I expect students to complete/attempt assessments after each meeting. If you cannot attempt/complete an assignment I expect to be notified the night before the assignment is due.

3) Weekly Correspondence.
I expect all students to submit to questions a week to my email. Or give me a weekly report on how class is going.

4) Lesson Reviews:
I respond with lesson reviews that list the proceedings of the learning session, key concepts discussed, and suggestions for further study. I expect the student to carefully read the review. They will be held accountable for this.

5) Be prompt to Meetings
If you are going to be more than three minutes late to a meeting, I expect a text message or phone call as soon as you know you are running late.

Grievance Management Policies:
There will be no deviations or exemptions from the expectations I have detailed here. After three violations, I will compose a summary of grievances, tell you exactly which of the expectations you violated and ask that you reconsider if your are serious about leveraging my services to obtain your goals. At this point a plan of action agreement will be required, were we can diagnose what is going wrong and plan to address it. If we can not reach agreement, you will have to part directions---no hard feelings!

Approved subjects

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
