Bryant and Stratton College (Healthcare Administr)
I am an experienced tutor with both children as well as adults. I started tutoring for the library literacy program teaching adults. I then began tutoring for a company and worked with school age children, some of whom have special needs. I also work as a private tutor. I was trained by San Bernadino library literacy program to be a tutor as well as training by the tutoring company I work for.
Besides tutoring in English and elementary Math, I have helped with obtaining US citizenship, computer literacy, have experience with writing essays and proofreading. I excelled in college and helped my classmates with essay writing as well as proofreading papers. In 2013, I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration and while in college, I was In Student Government,on the Dean's List each semester, and National Honor Society.
I am a life long learner and very happy when I can share my knowledge with my students. I encourage them to read and I make our tutoring sessions fun as well as educational. I am a Mother of 6 grown children, and education and knowledge has always been of great importance to me. I have a great rapport with my students as well as parents and received outstanding reviews on the surveys conducted by the tutoring company that I work for. It makes me happy to know I can help people and potentially change lives by providing this service. I love to see the joy in my students when their reading or grades improve, they pass their GED test or obtain their citizenship and am proud that I was a part of this success.
Hopefully I will be a great match for you as well. Hello students
I am an experienced tutor with both children as well as adults. I started tutoring for the library literacy program teaching adults. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a great deal of knowledge and experience with people with special needs, both adults and children. My mother helped to start a school for handicapped children in the 1960s because my brother is deaf. As a youth, I volunteered there. I also volunteered helping adults with activities while I was in high school. I have a son with learning disabilities and worked with him throughout his life. He just earned his 3rd college degree. I have tutored students in special education and am currently tutoring a 16 year who has autism, dyslexia and dyscalculia. I also have worked with many different disabilities while working in nursing homes for over twenty years. Therefore, I feel that I am definitely qualified to tutor students with special needs.
