University of Arizona
I am currently a junior studying mechanical engineering at the University of Arizona. I use math and science all day, every day, which I love! Math and science are my strongest subjects and my favorite ones too! I can help students with any level of math up through Calculus 2. And with science, I am able to provide tutoring for physics, high school biology classes, and basic chemistry. Additionally, I am available to provide ACT preparation tutoring as I scored a 34 on the ACT and have experience tutoring in this area.
Something that is really important to me as I tutor is making sure that I understand the student's unique approach and thought- process for each problem and then tailoring my explanations and examples to each individual's specific approach in order to facilitate more effective learning.
I am generally available anytime after 12:30 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. And my weekends have a lot of flexibility as well.
I have been very successful in all of the math classes that I have taken, so far. And as an engineering student, math is at the foundation of all of the courses that I am enrolled in currently. It is a subject that I am very comfortable with and can explain well to others.
I took two full years of IB Biology (HL) in high school and scored 7/7 on the final exam. I have a pretty in- depth and holistic understanding of the subject. Biology is my passion! I love learning how my body and every living thing works and interacts down to the microscopic level and I love to share what I learn with others and help cultivate a love of science in them as well.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you to be successful in your learning! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions! I am currently a junior studying mechanical engineering at the University of Arizona. I use math and science all day, every day, which I love! Math and
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
