I know which concepts often cause trouble for students and can help you learn those and feel confident in your studies. I enjoy working with students one-on-one or in small groups. I am willing to travel to a convenient location for our sessions.
I have studied many subject areas at the graduate level as well such as Biochemistry and Pharmacology in addition to my BS degree in Chemistry. I like to emphasize problem-solving skills for the physical sciences and will review any necessary math concepts with you.
We can also work on test-taking skills and homework techniques that factor in your natural learning styles.

Jennifer helped me with a lab assignment and home work for General CHM151. She is a very patient and knowledgeable tutor, and she guided me step by step until I was comfortable doing the work myself. She's a great tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have also taught summer science programs for high school students. I am patient, experienced in working with students, and enjoy helping you gain confidence in mastering chemistry!
I have a Bachelor of Science degree (with Honors) in Chemistry and studied Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry and Analytical chemistry in graduate school. I have taught and tutored college General, Organic, and Biochemistry chemistry courses for pre-nursing and pre-health students. I worked in the pharmaceutical industry as an analytical chemist.
I have a BS degree (with Honors) in Chemistry, with other studies in physics, biochemistry, and analytical chemistry. My passion is helping students understand science. Chemistry is often called the Central Science because it informs our comprehension of life, the universe, and everything (from biology to physics and more!) I have taught general chemistry courses at the college level and enjoy working with high school and middle school students also, including Physical Science.
