I started painting in 1983. My digital portfolio is over 11,000 strong. I have been doing the kind of artwork I focus on now for 8 years. I lived in New York City for 16 years, and I was part of an artist collective there called the Brooklyn Artist Waterfront Coalition. I have definitely found my true voice and artistic style. I like doing large work that is based on my digital work, and I letter a poem around the edge of every large painting on canvas I do.
Mastering a skill is a dialog between someone who has mastered the subject and the student wishing to learn. It is answering questions and guiding thoughts and imparting distinctions. There are specific exercises and best practices that should be adhered to. When I make a painting, I make that work with the intent to make it last centuries, because it will. I feel my target tutoring age group would be high school age and above, but a serious and focused younger person who has interest and commitment would be just fine too.
I would like to find out what the student's goals are, discover what skills the student possesses and set exercises for improvement. Give live demonstration of techniques as needed, but I would work to find a way that engages the student so that growth comes from within.
I have always loved imparting what I know to others. I am patient and expressive and my customer service is top notch. It is a real kick enabling others to succeed. I have given training to professional creatives as a group, and tutored one on one as part of my job. My customer satisfaction is proven and very high. I look forward to being helpful. I have 8 years of instruction at two major schools and proven practical skill at making artwork that is beautiful and speaks to others.
I have 30 years experience Painting. I have shown over a dozen times in New York, usually three times a year. I know color theory, composition and I feel like I could help impart artistic sensibility to others.
If you have normal hand eye coordination, you can be as good a painter as you care to be. It takes practice, and honesty. Everyone is a mirror of the world. You reflect everything around you, naturally. The trick is to focus and capture what you have affinity with. Take some lessons with someone who lifelong loves Art, and believes in its power to enlighten. I started painting in 1983. My digital portfolio is over 11,000 strong. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I make my own alcohol infusions, and flavored oils. I can make all mother sauces from scratch. I have taught my friends how to cook things over the years.
