I have a Master's degree from University of Arizona. I'm currently a 7th and 8th grade Special Education Teacher in TUSD (please note that your student does not need an IEP in order for me to tutor them!). I am a resource teacher, so I teach reading, writing, and math. I also have experience with 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. I absolutely love teaching - it's challenging and stressful, but the reward and satisfaction makes it worth it ten times over! I'm signing up to be a tutor to expand my experiences and I hope to work with your student soon.
I love finding new ways that can help my students learn, and I try and make things as interesting as possible, through the use of various strategies and games.
Reading is no easy task, and I've seen many students become frustrated with reading. It's my job to help increase their reading skills and make reading an enjoyable task.
I look forward to working with you soon! Cheers! I have a Master's degree from University of Arizona. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received my Master's degree in Cross Categorical Special Education. I am a current Special Education Teacher who works with students with specific learning disabilities, emotional disabilities, autism, Asperger's, ADHD, and ADD. My schooling and time as a teacher have provided me with background knowledge, resources, and strategies to help me assist special needs students.
