My love of history and traveling is a passion that encourages me more in my ongoing education. I graduated from a Christian university with a magna cum laude because of my hard work and dedication to work with students in creating a love of historical events that is the foundation of our humanity. I have worked with hundreds of students in their educational endeavors, and look forward to continuing that work year after year.
My specialty is Social Studies, especially in ares of U.S. History and World History. I feel the cultures and traditions that have created our world gives us the knowledge to continue on our path of moving generations into the future, but not forgetting where we started. I enjoy reading and writing, and believe our children need patience, understanding, and encouragement in these areas. When students are not interested or become frustrated it is important to challenge and encourage their interests in those content areas for better performance.
I encourage my students to give me feedback on what they learn, and how well I am developing their skills. Education is not only for the student, but is consistent with the educator as we are constantly learning new and important skills and delivery of content.
I do require a two hour notice before cancellation for traveling and emergency purposes. However, I will be more than happy to assist with a makeup day and time.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played Flute and Piccolo for 15 years from elementary school to just a few years after graduating high school. I was always a first chair in either instrument, and soloed in the orchestra in my high school with my flute.
I completed the Grammar test required for WyzAnt to have the opportunity to work with students. My score was 90% with WyzAnt.
