Over the past twelve years, I have worked with middle and high school students as a Spanish teacher and have taught Advance Placement (AP Spanish) for high school students with 97% success rate. I have taught college students for eight years at a local community college and enjoy teaching very much.
My experience working with students has enabled me to develop a range of practical skills. I am very creative and enjoy sourcing materials that make learning interesting. Motivation is a big contribution I bring into my Spanish classroom and working with individuals on a one on one basis. My experience working with students
I have had my first session with Eddie. He is very personable and enthusiastic. He is organized, prepared, and very knowledgeable. He uses a lot of visual techniques which is wonderful for me, a visual learner. He gave me handouts for review and to prepare for the next session (tarea). He has a special way of teaching that makes It easy to remember the concepts that we went over. I am really looking forward to working with Eddie. I highly recommend him as a tutor.
Muchas gracias Joy por tu feedback. (Joy, thank you very much for your feedback)
I really liked the way Eddie could recognize what I needed to learn. His style is very down to earth and kind.
Eddie seemed to connect with my 14-year-old right way. My son was reluctant to meet with a tutor at first, but he came away from the first session feeling good and more than willing to continue to work with Eddie. Eddie’s experience is impressive. Plus, his clear enjoyment of tutoring and use of visuals makes me feel confident we have the right tutor.
Thank you Tim for your feedback. It's greatly appreciated!!!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
