I am certified to teach Language Arts, which includes Reading, Writing and Grammar in English and Spanish. I have over 15 years of teaching experience in regular English, ESL and Bilingual classes.
After attending tutoring my students have passed the AIMS (Arizona's Instrument to Measure Success) and the GED test. Either test, of course is important in receiving a high school level diploma. In addition to Language Arts,
I have taught all levels of students from kindergarten through adults for at least six months. AND I have tutored many students as well.
I have taught Social Studies, Math and some Science at middle and high school levels. I like the histories of the Americas, particularly the United State and Mexico and have a special interest in pre-Columbian America.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I am highly qualified in TESOL or ESL. I received my teaching certification from the University of New Mexico. I have my current AZ certification K-12 in ESL.
I am highly qualified to teach Spanish. I have over 24 credit hours in Spanish from the University of New Mexico. I have over a 3.40 GPA in Spanish. I have taught from basic high school Spanish to college prep./advanced Spanish in New Mexico.
