In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Algebra is a first class in algebra that usually follows a pre-algebra class. It is important to understand the basic concepts of algebra before continuing to Algebra II.
Students will learn to solve equations and inequalities. They will become proficient in factoring and simplifying algebraic fractions.
I taught high school geometry for 12 years and I have tutored many geometry students. I am able to help a student to develop confidence in her/his ability to be successful in Geometry.
