Special Education (Master's)
My passion for teaching and helping started in my childhood. As a person who had closely observed and lived with a member having learning issues I worked twice harder to gain my two Masters degrees - in Special education. I knew I would be definitely successful in my Education and Carrier, because I strongly believed in Hard work. Sweat and Success go together. I worked in three different countries and positively impacted the lives of 100's students in my 15 yrs of teaching experience by making them realize how important, smart and unique they are. Some of my students expressed to me that it was the first time they ever heard something so positive about themselves. That trust laid in me made me think and work harder and become more creative. The result of which as a team we have exited several students form special education based on their growth/ progress and mastery of their goals.
I have always and only worked with students with special needs. I am very personable and accommodating. I always try to go an extra mile to see a smile on my students face. I balance my expectations by setting age and ability level appropriate attainable goals and by challenging them with new concepts using multi sensory approach. I have strong documentation skills. I progress monitor through periodic formal and informal assessments and tests, and update the parents, as I believe that positive and ongoing rapport between parents and teacher have a great role to play in student's academic growth. I am open to constructive criticism for the benefit of the students.
I am very flexible and reachable. I make up for missed hours/instructions. My classes are very peaceful and industrious. depending on the need I conduct individual and group classes. I always ask parents and students to provide me with any information that will aid me to show and see success in any form in any subject.
Depending on the location and distance, I usually discuss the options with parents and mutually decide the location of the class.
I am looking forward to hearing from you to help you see growth and success in your education.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
