Gabrielle was a Godsend for me. I am an older student who has returned to school to get a masters degree at ASU. I needed assistance with a project I had to write abstracts on 3 different journal articles. Gabrielle did an excellent job in teaching me how to glean the information to write an effective abstract.
Gabrielle is very knowledgeable and also able to convey her knowledge in a way that is easy for students to understand. My son's understanding of Spanish has increased and so has his grade. We highly recommend Gabrielle.
When my niece asked me if I would officiate her wedding, my first thought was, "Absolutely not, are you nuts?!" Instead, I replied, "Of course!" and immediately set out to find someone to help me get through this. To say I don't like speaking in front of groups of people is putting it mildly but with Gabrielle's patient help and encouragement I went from dread to actual enjoyment. Her great advice and gentle prodding to keep me rehearsing was invaluable and when the time came to perform the ceremony, I was calm and confident. I even had several people compliment me. Gabrielle was great and I can't recommend her enough.
Gabrielle is very nice and patient with our daughter in her Spanish lessons. She helps her understand the difficult portions, especially the grammar. She seems to know Spanish well and is able answer all my daughter's questions. Gabrielle is very pleasant and a pleasure to have around. Our daughter looks forward to her sessions and seems to be making improvement in her Spanish.

My son failed Spanish last year and dreaded having to take it again. After one visit with Gabriel, who by the way has been easy to get a hold of and very responsive, is excited to learn the language and looks forward to his next lesson and making the honor roll

We feel extremely lucky to have found Gabrielle! She is very caring, professional and easy to communicate with. She is very flexible with her time which is important for a busy family. Our son has special needs and often has a hard time with new people but Gabrielle put him instantly at ease and knew the best way to deal with him. Her advanced degrees in education combined with her background as a teacher, and experience with special needs students, are a huge plus. On top of that she offered to communicate with our son's teachers which we appreciated very much. His teachers were very impressed with her as well which says a lot! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been working with students in the area of study skills for 15 years. I have experience with learning disabilities and special needs such as ADD/ADHD, emotional/behavior disabilities. I use various approaches based on the multiple intelligence theory to assist students in learning the material in the best way for them. I have developed organization tools for students, flash card systems, and various other supplemental online and written material. I work with the student to create an organizational system based on the subject in which they need assistance. I teach students how to prioritize assignments, and arrange their study time and space to be most effective for them.
