First off, I love math! I have always been passionate about the subject and love helping others find that passion for themselves. I have 10+ years of tutoring experience, three years of teaching at the secondary level, and 4.5 years of teaching at the collegiate level. I have experience tutoring the following subjects: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Precalculus, Calculus, SAT Math, and any of the ACT subjects. I truly enjoy tutoring and helping students learn!
For high school students: I am generally available in the evening, sometime after 7, depending on the day. I am also available on Saturday.
For ASU students: I am on ASU's campus during the day on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and could meet with you at the library on campus. My evening and Saturday availability still applies as well. First off, I love math! I have always been passionate about the subject and love helping others find that passion for themselves. We tried several different outlets to help our son in high school math, including the one stop fits all tutoring centers, they all just seemed to create more stress and confusion for our son. If you want a math tutor who is patient and can identify what it is you are having trouble with and understanding and then patiently and effectively help to get your child to where you they need to be (Algebra/Geometry), Ashley is the best!
Ashley is very patient and extremely knowledgeable with respect to the ACT. She accessed my daughters skill level then tailored the sessions to address areas needing improvement. Using ACT practice tests at the first and last sessions my daughter raised her scores in math, science, and English over 6 points each. Thanks Ashley!
I think you will help me learn. It will be sad not having you to tutor me my next semester. Thanks for your help. Good luck in your life. Never settle, never compromise. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.
Ashley is a wonderful tutor. She is patient and quickly determines the level and needs of the student. She is prepared and insightful.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
