I don't usually leave reviews, but I wanted to let everyone know that Fred is a very good tutor. My daughter was struggling a great deal in AP Bio and was becoming panicked, scared, and distraught over her sinking grade. She is typically an A student, but Bio was not connecting for her. Fred was able to help her understand what she was missing, engage her, and enable her to bring her marks up significantly. She also fell in love with Bio. Fred gives deep explanations that helps the student understand the principles fully, repeats the tough points lesson after lesson to make sure they sink in, and goes above and beyond by researching extra items after lessons to provide deeper understanding. If you need a tutor that knows their stuff, is passionate about the subjects and truly interested in helping students learn the material, Fred would be a good choice for you.
Fred was great to work with! He was patient, and simplified the material so that I could better understand it. Thanks Fred!
My experience with Fred is still going on. He has met with my son 3 times so far over two weeks. I am very pleased with his ability to treat my teenage son with respect and authority at the same time. I listened to him guide my son through frustration. I give him credit and kudos for being able to take a step back and guide him through difficulty and then push him into problems that he didn't know he could do. Fred took the initiative to contact us and come over to help my son prepare for an upcoming geometry test. He had been over the night before. Then called and asked if he could meet with my son again. That he looked up some more information that would be helpful to my son and his test. I appreciate the kindness and the above and beyond. Thanks Fred.
He's indeed a great tutor. I understood very well the ideas he was trying to get through with. Whenever I needed to call him or reach him, he was available. I recommend him!
Thanks to Fred, my son is able to identify and apply math principals. In just a few lessons, Fred has taken a young man from being lost in his studies to putting him on track to recovery. Don't wait, when you see your child struggling, step in and get assistance. We take for granite what is/is not being taught in our school system. You would be surprised. Thanking you in advance, and look forward to my son passing his test.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
