I attended Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where I majored in acting and technical theater. I started teaching ballroom dance in 1990 for T.C Dance Club, International and quickly became the top-ranking ballroom dance instructor/choreographer in the state of Iowa. I am a gold-level ballroom dancer who has competed Pro/Am throughout the United States and has received training from some of the top competitors ballroom dancing has to offer. Since then I have choreographed dances for both Pro/Am and amateur ballroom competitions, college show choirs and musical theater. A martial artist since age 10 (1979), I have studied Tae Kwon Do, Shorin Ryu Karate, Aikido and Aikijujitsu as well as fencing (both European and Japanese), kickboxing and Muy Thai. I have been fight choreographer for both stage and screen creating fights for such productions as; Oklahoma (Hale Theater), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Shakespeare Theater), Fight Club ( Feast of Fools Theater), Words Wit and Wisdom (Herberger Stages Actor Training Program), Psycho Manor (Dream Film Productions) and The Case Effect (Lara Houston Productions). I have preformed as a stunt fighter in such films as; Vampire Slayers, The Last Gunfighter, Psycho Manor and Queens of Country.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I began studying ballroom dance with T.C. Dance Club Intl. in 1990. I quickly became one of the top dance instructors and choreographers in the state of Iowa having trained with some of the best ballroom dancers the art has to offer.
I am ranked as a gold-level dancer with T.C. Dance Club Intl. and have competed as such throughout the United States. Dances taught are: Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Jitterbug, Lindy, Hustle, Jive, Cha Cha, Rhumba, Samba, Mambo.
I started my martial arts education at age 10 studying Shotokan Karate in Stanberry, Missouri. Since that time I have continued my education in the martial arts by studying Taekwondo (2nd degree black belt), Shorin Ryu Karate (3rd degree black belt, Aikijujitsu (1st degree black belt. I have also studied Muy Thai, kickboxing, Japanese and European fencing techniques, Shurenji Kempo and Iaido. I was awarded an honorary black belt certificate from Hanshi Kunio Miyake for my work with Miyake Shuko-kai Intl.
I also offer free self-defense workshops to the public once a month to help raise awareness about the need for knowing self defense in today's society.
I have been acting since kindergarten, through high School and into college where I majored in Acting and Technical Theater. I am currently a working actor and stunt fighter/choreographer for both stage and screen.
