Throughout my time in school, I have always been the student that my classmates have turned to for help in studying and homework. I understand what is expected in our schools in order for a student to succeed. I have consistently been at the top of my class and have been awarded numerous distinguished honors. I know I can help your child excel in their own studies.
I know it takes patience, reinforcement, and focus on my part to properly educate your child. You will receive my undivided, personalized, and caring attention to every detail in your child's path to academic success. When we notice his/her struggle during a lesson, we'll invest all the time necessary to ensure they learn the material before we move on to the next subject. I also firmly believe in instilling good study habits. When we teach a child how to learn, how to study, then nothing is above their understanding.
I have completed courses up to and including Calculus II. I wish to teach in the basic maths, however, because without a solid foundation in the lower levels, students will struggle to understand more advanced material which build on these principles.
I have completed AP English in high school, demonstrating that I have more than adequate education on the foundation of the English language. I am also well versed in APA format, which is the format generally used for academic papers at the high school and post secondary education levels. In addition, I have taken multiple literature (spanning from Asian studies to philosophy) and writing courses as well as debate and public speaking.
I look forward to working with you and your child in order to accomplish and even exceed your academic goals for them. I cannot stress enough the value in teaching a student study skills as well as the subject material. I hope to start working with you soon. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
