My considerable experience includes 10 years as an Elementary-Secondary Art Teacher in my home state of Illinois. In addition, I have been successful in academia acting as a Program Coordinator for McKendree College, Lebanon, IL in Workforce Development; Assistant Registrar at Parks Air College, Cahokia, IL (division of St. Louis University); Program Coordinator for the University of Arizona, Tucson, AZ again in Workforce Development focusing on training, education and successful job placement; and from 2006-2011 I was employed as Program Coordinator by Northern Arizona University, Show Low Extended Campus. The job title did little to fully describe the duties, responsibilities and complexities of this position. In reality, I recruited, advised and provided personalized assistance to high school students planning to enter a college or university, transfer students from our local community college, Northland Pioneer College, and both NAU undergraduates and graduate students. I excelled at helping students succeed by following each program of study, policies and procedures and proofreading assignments and papers. My methodology is all about specifically designing tutoring which is tailored to each student's needs with flexibility and a sense of humor in the mix. I find this a most effective, efficient and personable style.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
