Konnichiwa! I lived in Tokyo for 8 years and love Japan's culture focused on celebrating nature and respect for others, along with amazing food. My favorite by far is sushi.

Through dedicated course study at Waseda University, combined with actively participating in 4 school clubs, I achieved near-native Japanese fluency (speaking, listening, reading, writing) within 2 years of living in Japan.

As a result, I have been able to connect with many Japanese people on a deeper level and become fully immersed in the culture. With 6 years work experience in Tokyo in IT, Sales, Manufacturing, and Education fields I have a strong understanding of business etiquette and culture as well. I currently work in the U.S. for a Japanese company in manufacturing sales.

I am here to help you learn and achieve your goals in Japanese learning from my real-life experience, not from theory. My strengths are Japanese conversation (speaking, listening, pronunciation). However, I also have experience writing business emails and presentations for clients. My tutoring style is to give you ample time to practice while I support and reinforce that practice.

Also, I am an avid traveler who has visited 32 countries so far with plans to visit many more in the future.
I enjoy being active and anything outdoors including acroyoga, hiking, karaoke, tennis, and yoga.
