I have been a high school mathematics teacher for the past 20 years. I have taught courses ranging from pre-algebra through AP Calculus (AB and BC) and AP Statistics. I have a strong belief that all students can be successful in mathematics. I know what it takes to achieve this success in high school and community college math courses, in addition to knowing how to prepare for standardized tests (AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB & BC, ACT, and SAT). I have tutored throughout my teaching career for various tutoring organizations and began my tutoring experience as a tutor at Arizona State University.
For the past five years, I have taught mathematics at two local community colleges, teaching courses ranging from MAT 082 through MAT 212. Through this experience I have become aware of what it takes to be successful in college math courses. Currently I am privately tutoring in Calculus, Differential Equations and Linear Algebra to prepare a student to enter Stanford University.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
