I am a completely bilingual American who, in addition to only working for French companies, has been a French high school teacher as well as a former instructor in French and ESL for the for an organization in Greater Phoenix. I have tutored business executives and college students as well.
In learning French myself and after having lived in France, I have learned and do share many "tricks of the trade" when I tutor French. I get such joy when I see the wheels spinning and students beginning to understand the concepts. It is important to me that the student, no matter the age, be truly interested in learning and wanting to do better. If the interest is not the there, I find that the tutoring sessions are not effective.
I have college-age children who are bilingual and I really enjoy working with kids of all ages!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
